About Glenrock (Qld)

Glenrock is a rural locality in the South Burnett Region of Queensland, located about 27 kilometres north-northwest of Murgon. The landscape features Woroon National Park covering 553 hectares in the northwest, alongside Ironpot Creek and Sandy Creek. Part of the former Burrandowan pastoral station taken up in 1843, the area transitioned from horse breeding and dairying to peanut production, with Glenrock State School operating from 1926 to 1966.
