About Oakwood (Qld)
Oakwood is a semi-rural farming locality on the fringe of Bundaberg, about six kilometres north-east of the Bundaberg central business district. The Burnett River and Splitters Creek form boundaries, and the Oakwood Sugar Mill was established in 1883. The area supports irrigated cropping and features the Oakwood Park Golf Club and a pick-your-own strawberry farm.
