About Kumbia

Kumbia is a rural town in the South Burnett Region, approximately 22 kilometres south-west of Kingaroy on the Bunya Highway. The town sits at the foothills of the Bunya Mountains and is known for stone-fruit orchards, with packing sheds open to visitors by arrangement. The name derives from the Waka language, possibly meaning white ant nests.
