Ellesmere is a rural locality about 27 kilometres south-south-west of Kingaroy in the South Burnett Region. The western boundary follows the Stuart Range and Halys Round Mountain at 655 metres rises in the south-west corner. Grazing on native vegetation with some crop growing is the predominant land use.
