About Inskip

Inskip is a coastal locality on a peninsula in the Gympie Region of Queensland, separating Wide Bay and Tin Can Inlet from the Coral Sea. Inskip Point, the locality's northernmost point, lies about 1.2 km from the southern tip of Fraser Island (K'Gari) and is a major vehicular gateway to the island by barge. The area offers camping grounds, boat ramps and other outdoor recreational facilities, and its beach has twice been affected by large sinkholes, in 2011 and 2015.
