About Cooloola
Cooloola is a coastal locality in the Gympie Region of south-east Queensland, stretching along the coast between Rainbow Beach and the Noosa River. The entire locality is protected, lying mostly within the Cooloola section of Great Sandy National Park and including the headland of Double Island Point, with its sand beaches, coloured sand cliffs and the Tin Can Inlet on the north-west boundary.
