About Gunalda
Gunalda is a rural town in the Gympie Region of Queensland, with the surrounding locality divided between the Gympie and Fraser Coast Regions. The town lies on the Bruce Highway about 27 kilometres north-west of Gympie. Originally called Keelar, it was renamed Gunalda in 1923 when the railway station on the North Coast line took that name; the line once passed through the town but now bypasses it to the west.
