About Goomeri
Goomeri is a rural town in the Gympie Region of Queensland, about 76 kilometres west of Gympie at the junction of the Burnett, Bunya and Wide Bay Highways. Established in 1911, the town retains many 1920s buildings and a landmark clock tower war memorial. It hosts Australia's only Pumpkin Festival each May, drawing visitors for the Great Australian Pumpkin Roll.
