About Black Snake
Black Snake is a sparsely settled rural locality in the Gympie Region, approximately 20 kilometres south of Kilkivan in the Wide Bay hinterland. The valley landscape is enclosed by mountain ridges where Coppermine Creek rises, and the area has a history of copper, silver and gold mining. Parts of the locality border Oakview National Park.
