About Towers Hill

Towers Hill is a heritage suburb on the south-western fringe of Charters Towers in north Queensland, rising to 421 metres above sea level. The hill was the site of the first gold discovery in 1872 which sparked the Charters Towers gold rush, and today hosts a lookout, amphitheatre and heritage-listed mining remains.
