About Mosman Park (Qld)
Mosman Park is a low-density residential suburb of Charters Towers, about three kilometres south of the city centre in the Charters Towers Region. Named after Hugh Mosman who discovered gold at Charters Towers in December 1871, it sits within the historic goldfields region. Charters Towers was known as The World for its self-sufficiency during the gold rush of the 1870s to 1890s.
