About Shaw
Shaw is a locality in the City of Townsville in Queensland, located about 14 kilometres west of the Townsville CBD on Wulgurukaba traditional country. The Bohle River runs through the locality, which was historically a rural area and has seen increasing residential development since 2022. St Benedict's Catholic School opened in 2018 and Mary Help of Christians Catholic College opened in 2025, reflecting the area's growth on the western fringe of Townsville.
