About Cosgrove (Qld)
Cosgrove is a residential suburb of Townsville in north Queensland, about 8 kilometres south-west of the Townsville CBD. The locality is bordered by the North Coast railway line to the north and the Bohle River to the west. Named after General Sir Peter Cosgrove, the former head of the Australian Defence Force, the suburb is primarily a quiet residential area of detached homes.
