About Bohle Plains
Bohle Plains is a locality in the City of Townsville, Queensland, situated in the traditional country of the Wulgurukaba Aboriginal people. The name derives from the nearby Bohle River, which honours Henry Mackinnon Bohle who brought cattle to the area in 1863. The locality is a rural area accessed via the Hervey Range Developmental Road, linking the Bruce Highway corridor to the west.
