About Mulgrave (Qld)
Mulgrave is a rural locality in the Shire of Burdekin, Queensland, about 126 km south of Townsville and 78 km south-west of Ayr. Unlike the lower-lying sugarcane country typical of the shire, Mulgrave has mountainous terrain with named peaks including Blue Mountain (616 m), Mount Dalrymple (580 m), and Bunkers Hill. The locality also features Nanny Goat Gorge and Bird Gorge. The predominant land use is grazing on native vegetation.
