About Mona Park
Mona Park is a rural locality in the Shire of Burdekin, bounded by the Burdekin River to the south-east and Barratta Creek to the north-west, roughly 26 kilometres south-west of Ayr. The low-lying floodplain land is predominantly used for sugarcane cultivation, serviced by a network of cane tramways, with higher ground supporting cattle grazing on native vegetation.
