About Jerona

Jerona is a remote rural town and coastal locality in the Shire of Burdekin, Queensland, approximately 42 kilometres north-west of Ayr. Most of the locality lies within Bowling Green Bay National Park, with the townsite on the western side of the Barratta Creek estuary. The area includes the Jerona Aggregation, a nationally important wetland covering 2,371 hectares.
