Cungulla is a small coastal town and locality in the City of Townsville, approximately 47 kilometres south-east of Townsville CBD on the tropical north Queensland coast. The settlement sits near Cape Cleveland on the Coral Sea and takes its name from an Aboriginal word from the Burdekin River area, possibly meaning holiday.
