About Condon
Condon is a residential suburb in the Upper Ross District of Townsville, located about 15 kilometres south-west of the city centre along Riverway Drive. Named in 1969 after the Condon family, early Irish settlers who operated a dairy farm on the Ross River, the suburb includes Thuringowa State High School and borders the Bruce Highway. Pioneer Park, with its sports facilities, lies near the northern boundary.
