About Black Jack
Black Jack is a rural locality in the Charters Towers Region of Queensland, formerly a gold mining town. The Black Jack P. C. mine produced large quantities of gold in 1886 and 1887 during the celebrated Black Jack Boom, though subsequent years yielded far less before the settlement transitioned to pastoral use.
