About Wilsonton Heights

Wilsonton Heights is a residential locality in the Toowoomba Region, Queensland, located five kilometres north-west of the Toowoomba CBD and 133 kilometres west of Brisbane. Established in 2006 when it split from the suburb of Wilsonton, the area was named after James T. Wilson, a Toowoomba businessman involved with the Toowoomba Agricultural Society. Wilsonton State High School, which opened in 2017 as an independent school from Toowoomba State High, includes a special education program and agricultural centre.
