About Upper Lockyer

Upper Lockyer is a rural locality in the Lockyer Valley Region of South East Queensland, situated approximately 20 kilometres north-east of Toowoomba and 123 kilometres west of Brisbane. The area sits in the upper reaches of the Lockyer Valley, one of Australia's most fertile agricultural regions, surrounded by improved pastures and cropping land. Murphys Creek flows through the locality, and the former Lockyer Upper State School operated from 1939 to 1968. The Queensland Country Women's Association maintains a branch at Withcott within the locality.
