About Kuluin
Kuluin is a residential suburb of Maroochydore in the Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, located three and a half kilometres west of Maroochydore and 101 kilometres north of Brisbane. The name derives from a Kabi Aboriginal word meaning black swan. Originally part of Maroochydore and Buderim, Kuluin became a separate suburb in 1991. Kuluin State School, opened in 1987, serves the area and several bushland conservation reserves including Martins Creek and South Eudlo Creek protect natural habitat.
