About Balmoral Ridge
Balmoral Ridge is a rural locality on the Blackall Range in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, approximately 5 kilometres east of Maleny and 82 kilometres north of Brisbane. Originally known simply as Balmoral, the official name was changed to Balmoral Ridge in 1989 to avoid confusion with the Brisbane suburb of the same name.
