About Gilbert River
Gilbert River is an outback rural locality in the Shire of Etheridge in far north Queensland, named after the Gilbert River which flows through it from the east to the north towards the Gulf of Carpentaria. Land use is centred on cattle grazing, with the western portion within Littleton National Park.
