About Abingdon Downs
Abingdon Downs is an outback rural locality in the Shire of Etheridge, Queensland, where the Einasleigh and Etheridge rivers converge. It takes its name from the Abingdon Downs cattle station, a 445,000-hectare property occupying most of the western part of the locality. The north-east includes a section of Bulleringa National Park.
