About Welsby
Welsby is a coastal locality on Bribie Island in Moreton Bay, Queensland, named after Thomas Welsby (1858-1941), a Moreton Bay historian, politician and sportsman who owned a holiday home on the island. The locality is bordered by Pumicestone Passage to the west and the Pacific Ocean to the east, and most of it lies within Bribie Island National Park.
