About Bongaree
Bongaree is the main commercial and residential hub of Bribie Island, on the south-western corner of the island adjacent to the Pumicestone Passage in the City of Moreton Bay. One of Queensland's most prominent retirement and sea-change communities, it is known for calm, family-friendly beaches, the Bongaree Jetty and parks along Welsby Parade. Key landmarks include the Bribie Island Bridge, the only bridge to a Moreton Bay island, and the Bribie Island Seaside Museum.
