About Bellthorpe
Bellthorpe is a rural locality in the City of Moreton Bay, Queensland, on the ranges north of Woodford. Much of the area is protected within Bellthorpe National Park, and the south of the locality lies in the Stanley River catchment. The locality was possibly named after Joshua Thomas Bell, the Queensland Secretary for Public Lands when the district opened for selection, and a state school operated there from 1919 to 1969.
