About Royston

Royston is a rural locality in the Somerset Region, about 12 kilometres east of Kilcoy on the D'Aguilar Highway. The Stanley River marks the southern boundary and the southern foothills of the Conondale Range lie to the north, with undulating terrain from 95 to 412 metres in elevation. Named after a former railway station on the Brisbane Valley line, which itself was named after grazier William Butler's freehold property from Royston in Cambridgeshire, England.
