About Borallon

Borallon is a rural locality in the Somerset Region, bounded and partially divided by the Brisbane River, about 20 kilometres north-west of Ipswich. Named after a Cornish village by former Queensland Railway Commissioner Francis Curnow, it was historically associated with the Brisbane Valley rail line and remains a quiet farming community within the Brisbane River catchment.
