About Ebbw Vale

Ebbw Vale is a suburb of Ipswich in south-east Queensland, taking its name from a coal mine that once operated in the area. The mine was named after the Welsh town of Ebbw Vale, and the suburb, originally known as St Helens, adopted its new name in 1910 when the railway station was renamed after the colliery.
