About Collingwood Park (Qld)
Collingwood Park is a residential suburb about 11 km east of Ipswich CBD and 31 km southwest of Brisbane. Established in 1982 on the site of the former Westfalen No. 3 Colliery, the area is bounded by Goodna Creek and Six Mile Creek. Notable features include Namatjira Park, with a memorial to Queensland's first labour strike in 1861, and Banjo Paterson Park along the creek.
