About Brassall

Brassall is a residential suburb on the western outskirts of Ipswich, bounded by the Bremer River to the south and Ironpot Creek to the west. Originally a rural area known as Hungry Flats, it served as a stopover for bullock teams transporting timber from Pine Mountain. The former Brisbane Valley railway corridor through the suburb has been converted into the Brassall Bikepath, part of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.
