About Ashmore
Ashmore is a settled, hilly residential suburb situated between Southport and Nerang on the Gold Coast's central inland corridor. Named after a late 1800s farming property, it was predominantly bushland and grazing country before residential development began in the 1970s. The suburb sits on elevated terrain with mature tree cover and was the first on the Gold Coast to have roadside bike paths and a roundabout.
