About Arundel
Arundel is a residential suburb of the City of Gold Coast in Queensland, located eight kilometres north-west of Southport and 67 kilometres south-south-west of Brisbane. Officially named and bounded in 1989, the suburb contains the Coombabah Lake Conservation Park and Biggera Creek Dam for flood mitigation. A.B. Paterson College opened in 1991 and Arundel State School opened in 1994. The Arundel Plaza shopping centre and Mike Hatcher Raceway, a motorcycle speedway and motocross venue, are key landmarks.
