About Rosalie Plains
Rosalie Plains is a rural locality in the Toowoomba Region of Queensland, on the Darling Downs about 29 kilometres north of Oakey. Named after Rosalie Plains Station, a pastoral run taken up by Robert Ramsay in 1848, the area features flat to gently undulating black soil plains used for grain farming and grazing. The locality is notable as the birthplace of Bernborough, one of Australia's greatest racehorses, who was foaled at Rosalie Plains in 1939.
