About Noorindoo
Noorindoo is a rural locality in the Maranoa Region of south-west Queensland, about 16 kilometres north of Surat and 65 kilometres south-east of Roma. The landscape is defined by wide open skies and Mitchell grass plains, typifying the remote outback pastoral character of the Maranoa district. The locality takes its name from an early pastoral run, used from before 1858, reportedly that of an Aboriginal person.
