About Wallumbilla South

Wallumbilla South is a rural locality in the Maranoa Region of south-west Queensland, situated about 13 kilometres south of Wallumbilla and 53 kilometres east-south-east of Roma. The Warrego Highway and Western railway line form part of its northern boundary, and the name is derived from a Mandandanji language word believed to mean plenty of jew fish. The landscape supports cattle grazing and cropping on native vegetation, with four state forest areas in the south-east.
