About Kyoomba

Kyoomba is a rural locality in Queensland's Granite Belt, located about 10 kilometres east of Stanthorpe among granite-strewn hills at high elevation. Quart Pot Creek flows from the nearby Storm King Dam through the locality, and grazing on native vegetation is the predominant land use. The area is historically significant as the site of the Kyoomba Sanatorium, which treated soldiers with tuberculosis during and after World War I.
