About Diamondvale
Diamondvale is a small rural locality in the Granite Belt of the Southern Downs, about 4 kilometres west of Stanthorpe. The locality is bounded by Quart Pot Creek to the south and Kettle Swamp Creek to the north-west, and takes its name from diamonds found in those waterways in the late nineteenth century. Land use is predominantly grazing on native vegetation, and the area sits within the broader Granite Belt wine and cool-climate fruit-growing region of the Queensland highlands.
