About Injune

Injune is a rural town in the Maranoa Region of outback Queensland, 91 kilometres north of Roma on the Carnarvon Highway. The name is thought to derive from an Aboriginal word for the sugar glider. Once a hub for cattle and dairy, it now serves as a staging point for Carnarvon National Park and supports natural gas and timber industries.
