About Fletcher (Qld)

Fletcher is a rural locality in the Granite Belt sub-region of the Southern Downs, roughly 16 kilometres south-west of Stanthorpe at around 779 metres elevation. The Severn River forms its western boundary and a portion of Girraween National Park extends into its eastern edge; the locality is named after Thomas Henry Fletcher who pioneered fruit growing in the district.
