About Springsure

Springsure is a rural town and locality in the Central Highlands Region of Queensland, Australia, located 68 kilometres south of Emerald at the junction of the Gregory and Dawson Highways. It lies near Minerva Hills National Park and the Virgin Rock landmark. The area was the site of the 1861 Cullin-La-Ringo massacre, the largest known settler massacre by Aboriginal people in Australia.
