About Gracemere

Gracemere sits on flat pastoral country along the Capricorn Highway, approximately nine kilometres west of Rockhampton. Established in 1855 by the Archer brothers as a sheep and cattle station, the town is home to the largest livestock saleyards in the Southern Hemisphere. The heritage-listed Gracemere Homestead (c.1858) and Gracemere Lagoon are notable local landmarks.
