About Wooroonooran (Cairns - Qld)
Wooroonooran is an undeveloped locality in the wet tropics of far north Queensland, split between the Cairns Region, the Cassowary Coast Region and the Tablelands Region. The whole locality lies within Wooroonooran National Park, part of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. The park protects the mountainous Bellenden Ker Range, including Queensland highest peak, Mount Bartle Frere, and waterfalls such as Josephine Falls.
