Bartle Frere is a rural locality in the Cairns Region of Queensland, situated on flat low-lying canefields south of Mount Bartle Frere, the highest peak in Queensland. The Russell River forms the southern and eastern boundaries, and the locality lies roughly 71 kilometres south of Cairns.
