About Wangan
Wangan is a small town and locality in the Cassowary Coast Region of Far North Queensland, situated approximately 7 kilometres south-south-west of Innisfail. The surrounding land is used predominantly for sugarcane growing, with a network of cane tramways transporting harvested cane to the South Johnstone sugar mill. The North Coast railway line passes along the western edge of the town.
