About Comoon Loop
Comoon Loop is a small rural locality in the Cassowary Coast Region of Queensland, about 5 kilometres south of Innisfail. The land is flat and low-lying, ranging from 1 to 9 metres above sea level, within the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. The Bruce Highway passes through the locality, and the South Johnstone River forms the western boundary. Sugarcane cultivation is the predominant land use, with a network of cane tramways transporting harvested cane to the local sugar mill.
