South Johnstone is a rural town in Far North Queensland's Cassowary Coast Region, 10 kilometres south-west of Innisfail. The South Johnstone Sugar Mill opened in 1915 and the town sits within one of Australia's wettest regions in the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area.
